Alvin & I are both Class of 85. We meet in the fall of 1982 at a football game. This happen when
Rene (Ray) Torres who is also class of 85, he pestered me in pre-algebra class everyday to meet his friend Alvin who he assured was "the guy" for me. Everyday for weeks my response was the same. " I have a boyfriend" I would say. He would ask everyday over and over. Until the game came where I finally said. Fine! I'll meet your friend. Ray set us up to meet at a football game. I knew nothing about Alvin. To my surprise, it was love at first site for me. I was usually very talkative but for some odd reason, my throat had a burning sensation and I couldn't find anything to say. I ran into Alvin in the hallways after that night and something about him made me nervous and mute!! Needless to say, I broke up with my boyfriend a few months after and gave Ray my number to give Alvin. December 1st 1982 at the Sacred Heart parking lot, Alvin missed me for the first time. Now, three children and two grandbabies 28 years married. His kisses are still magical. Thanks to our buddy Ray Torres the matchmaker.
